Major Fund Raising Events – Fun for All!

Our annual Lions Corn Roast is legendary – join us on the 4th Saturday in July for the best local sweet corn you’ve ever tasted! Burgers, soft ice cream, and cotton candy complete the evening’s fare! Bring the kids and come by early to help shuck that HUGE pile of corn we get each year!

Stop by our bi-annual Breakfast events! Spring and Fall, you’ll enjoy our famous sausage & biscuits or pancakes & sausage breakfasts!

Most Saturdays, from Mother’s Day to Labor Day, come on down from 9 to 11 a.m. for our Grab ‘n Go breakfast at the “Vandalia Cafe”. We serve a warm to-go breakfast from the East end “luggage doors”.

Vandalia Railroad Depot

The Culver Lions lovingly restored this historic building several years ago through energetic fund raising, valuable support from the community at large, financial assistance from the Marshall County Community Foundation and other philanthropic organizations, and countless volunteer labor hours. As leaseholder, the club is the sole caretaker of this historic building and works to maintain the structure’s historical significance. It is listed in Indiana’s Historic Sites Registry and has received The Historical Landmark Award from Marshall County Historical Society.

For wonderful historical photos and writings about the depot you can visit the Culver/Union Township Library’s website at www.culver.lib.in.us.

Along with being the home of the Culver Lions’ regular meetings and our special fund raising events, the Culver Lions offers the free use of the building for various civic and charity events as a community service. The building, which includes a full service, newly renovated commercial style kitchen, is also available to the general public to rent for special events such as weddings, reunions, and graduation events. The facility is smoke free and alcohol free. Reservations scheduled after January 1, 2022 will be $200/day or $100/half day plus deposit.
